"Excellent" means a wide choice of apps, remote-friendly menus and a reliable connection. "Limited" means it can work, but we'd suggest a better option.

Before you buy anything

Three checks that save money

You may not need a new device at all. Run these checks on what you already own first.

  • How old is the TV?

Smart TVs from roughly 2018 onwards usually have a suitable app. Older sets often have slow menus or no app support, and a streaming stick is the cheaper fix.

  • Is there room to install?

Sticks and boxes need some free storage. If yours is full of unused apps, clearing a few usually makes everything feel faster.

  • How does it connect?

A network cable beats Wi-Fi every time. If the router is far away, powerline adapters or mesh Wi-Fi are worth more than a new TV.

Questions

Device questions

Which device gives the best picture?

A recent Android TV or Google TV box, an Apple TV 4K or a Fire TV Stick 4K Max on a wired connection will give the most consistent picture. Most recent Smart TVs come close without any extra hardware.

Does IPTV GOLD work on Roku?

Only in a limited way, usually through screen casting from a phone. If you have a Roku TV and want a proper experience, we'd recommend plugging in a Fire TV Stick.

Can I use an old Android box?

If it still receives updates and runs a recent version of Android, often yes. Very old or unbranded boxes can struggle and may not get security updates, so send us the model and Android version first.

Do I need a VPN?

IPTV GOLD doesn't require one. Some VPNs slow your connection and cause buffering, so if you use one and see problems, try with it switched off.

Can I move my subscription to a new device?

Yes. Install the player app on the new device and enter the same details. If your app activates by device ID, message us and we'll move it across.

Not sure about your model?

Send us the model number and we'll tell you whether it works, which app to use and whether a stick would be better.
